What It's Like

What to Expect: The best of both worlds. Mimico is close enough to downtown that working professionals can get to work easily, while also offering fantastic lakeside recreation. It is a great place to live for those who work downtown but still crave a home in a more tranquil waterfront community. Whether you want a modern condominium with lake views or a charming bungalow, Mimico will have what you're looking for. What NOT to Expect: A lot of walkable businesses. There are restaurants and grocery stores close to home, but if you might want to head up to The Queensway or further into the core for more shopping destinations. A Day in the Life: Rise and shine to views of boats bobbing on the lake. Sip tea on your wide glass balcony before getting your bike out. Ride along Humber Bay Shore's east trail with your friends, and stop for a swim at the beach. On your way home get gelato on the ground floor of your building. Then, get ready for a night out! Drive five minutes to Budweiser Stage for a lively rock concert by the lake.
